After many years as a litigator, I formed Helen Mileto Law, turning a pipe dream into a reality. Helen Mileto Law represents a huge leap of faith, no different from my clients. Being able to connect with my solo and small business clients in this way makes working with them so rewarding.

As a former litigator in New York, I represented clients across a broad range of industries, including healthcare, insurance, education, fitness, and retail. My practice included advising and representing clients across the spectrum of employment law matters, including FMLA policies, Title VII workplace discrimination, and Title IX sexual harassment claims, discrimination under the New York State Division of Human Rights, and the New York City Human Rights Commission. I specialized in reviewing and preparing termination agreements, employee handbooks, employee contracts, severance agreements, non-solicitation, non-disclosure, and non-competition agreements, as well as advising businesses and individuals regarding all aspects of employment law.

Now, with my own firm, I bring my years of experience inside the courtroom to help solo and small business owners achieve their desired business goals — hopefully without ever having to go to court.

I graduated from Binghamton University, cume laude, with a B.A. in political science. Thereafter, I graduated from New York Law School with a J.D., where I earned accolades for my work on the esteemed Moot Court, and subsequently began my litigation practice with my admittance to the United States District Court, First Department and all the courts of the State of New York.

I live on Long Island, and when I’m not practicing law, I enjoy doing Pilates, traveling and spending time with my husband and two young children.
